Got a chance to meet some of my primary schoolmates the other day. They include SK Jewellery Jeanette Aw's number one fan, Hancheng, our very own version of black pearl, Wong Grace, Miss JUNE and some others from another class. While eating at the restaurant, I felt that the group of my ex-classmates are from normal neighbourhood sec school and we interact in Chinese while the other group of people interact in English. They were in St Nic, Chinese High, Fairfield and Nan Hua uniforms. Is this the difference between upper class and lower class? Ahh! So I am only the upper class of the lower class? Oops! I'm getting confused le lah!
Want to recall about my primary school days now. For those of you who don't know me well, let me tell you- I am one of the four prefects in the prefectorial board. This is not something to be proud of because I'd made myself "malu" so many times! In the first prefectorial board meeting, I suggested giving teachers "air fastener" for teachers' day instead of "air freshener"! However my idea was used in the end. My first ever duty when I first ever become a prefect is command. Yes, commanding the whole school to say the pledge and national anthem. And again I made myself malu! Once I commanded the wrong thing and the whole school was stunned and looking at me at the same time. Because it's the first time any prefect even make such a mistake, I was shivering like hell, don't know what to do! The picture you see above is from our prefect trip to Malacca when I was in Primary Five. Was I fatter when I was then???
Life back in primary school is so fun. I got two CCAs. One is Stamp Club and the other is Librarian. I won GOLD in my 16 pages stamp project on the sceneries of china and went to RI to collect the award. As for librarian, I joined with Hancheng, HianChong, Kenneth and Kui Yang because we want to play the computer games there. We will stay back to play and play the computer games there till very late on our duty days. I was in the turf club! Not because I was overweight but because my PE teacher finds me weak in sports. Miss Ng is my favourite teacher. As the monitor, you will always see me helping her take lots of heavy books and stuffs. I think she choose me because she thinks I am strong and mistakened I was the athelete type. I will always participate in the teachers' day celebration by hosting game shows. In primary six, each group from the class was given a notice board to decorate. And my notice board will always be most innovative with quiz and stuffs. Then later other teams will copycat us and we will quarrel. To think back, it's such a good laugh. And as I sat at the back of the class, Zul and me will always read idol magazine underneath our tables. He even got us a EDISON CHEN fan and we will keep waving it when hot! Our teacher cannot stand and she confiscated it in the end. And whenever there are insects like bees or butterflies in the class....I am the biggest victim because they tend to like to come to my table. Then I will everytime cover the head with my file full of Pokemon and Teletubies pictures!
Once at the sports practise, I ran first among my classmates and the teachers there laugh and couldn't believe it. However, they will never know I vomited at a corner after the run. I was never ever participating in sports day and will only be there cheering for my house every year de. With me, my house won the best cheering team each year. (But not now.) I remembered I was swinging the flag to support my house one year when the flag flew away. I didn't realised it until my fren asked why am I swinging a bamboo stick. I also miss the food during recess. My fav are the chicken cutlet with frangance mushroom sauce, the dry kway tiao with chicken and hot chilli, the longan and drink stall owned by KianKok's aunty and the nasi lemak! Oops! My saliva come out le lah! I will always eat with Jona, Zul, Georgina, Liling, Alisa, Chew Yuen and Siew Ling de. And at that time, everytime also calls me Sharon Au or Tweety Bird de.
Wah! I didn't realised I had talk so much. Mmm, better stop liao. Later spoil my fans' eyes not very good. Will continue some other day then. If your eyes now not comfortable, come get eye drop and vitamin C from me hor. Take care!
