Drama No Boundaries

I've been busying with my drama production and 10/10 drama competition over the past few weeks. The 10/10 first knockout with no kick for us as we managed to get into the finals. Over at the finals, there will be intense competition. Both me and my team are excited but looking forward to it.

As for my drama production, we are meeting almost everyday for long hours to prepare for the big day. At the last rehearsal, we tried with the mics and props and actual settings. It was real tiring having to walk here and there and having to carry the settings and props all around. But however, it really gave us a sense of satisfaction when we see those audience crying and feel so emotionally engaged in our production.

Nevertheless, we believe in working hard and playing hard. We are in love with balls, erm sounds kinky, well I mean bowling and pool for the moment =)

With a huge budget and professional equipments to work with, our hard work is all for the big day. So for anyone who is interested, don't forget your date with "Apartment of the Feign" this coming Wednesday 8pm at the Amphitheatre. Feel free to contact me or log on to apartmentofthefeign.blogspot.com for more details.

Cam-whored in school for the whole of the week, in fron of lecturers some more. I hope we didn't freak out those new lecturers who are teaching us ya? And we are planning to cam-whore at least once a week now. Wahahahaha!!!

很想红的 Ryan Tan Guo Zheng, having lesson at the class next door. Let us enable him to have his 1 minute of fame here.

It's HIVE Time!!!

Before I start, watch this trailer. Viewers beware!

Are you ready to start?!

Before the start of the holidays, a large group of students from my course volunteered to be involved in a project called "The Project Best Studio Ever".

From there, we are divided into groups to better focus and look into each aspects- Branding, Communication, Space, Media & Event.

Each and every day including weekends, we started work early in the morning and stayed back till late hours to do up the 2 studios. We often need to go shop for furnitures and many more stuffs. Guess what, I can't even remember when was the last time I had dinner with my family. Here's our lovely Charmane, the most kind and helpful person I've ever know.

HIVE SOFT LAUNCH ON FIRST DAY OF SCH

A meeting was held on the first day of school for all of the students in our course. People who see the HIVE for the first time were thrill and very impressed.

Vincy, Nicky & Crispy

Peiying, Sophia, Khairunnisa, Stefany, Aud, Guozheng, Zhao and Vivienne are the lovely group of people in my SPACE team. The SPACE team is in charge of the interior and exterior of the 2 studios. The cozy relaxation corner with sofas and mirrors, the refreshing new paint, the storage boxes at each workspace, the interior posters and many more came from the creative brains of the genius in the SPACE team.

"Are you guilty?" posters at the corridors caused quite a stir and hit headlines among the other students in school.

The night before the big day, everyone was so nervous and excited. Azhar is briefing us on the itinerary for the big day.

HIVE LAUNCH PARTY

The big day finally arrived. Here's Salim hitting the pinata to mark the start of the event.

The invited guests were ushered into the drawing studio to view exhibitions of our works and live demostrations of drawing before the start of the buffet

Many industry players and media reporters are our guest for the big night. Some famous industry players include Chris Lee (Creative director and founder of Asylum), Johnson (Managing director of Out of the Box Pte Ltd & Anything and Whatever) and Mark Phooi (CEO of First Internation Design School).

We had a great party with great fun and great food and not to forget, great photos!

Chong Xiang Yuan Marlon Dino (my apologies on behalf of him for his long name), the guy in the center was one of the finalists for the Best Dress Award. Dressed in the Sperman tee shirt and a cautious note behind, he wanted to warn young and innocent girls not to get cheated by horny low class people with bad intention they met on the net. He got this idea after reading an article on the news. He felt so furious about it and here he is with the Cautious Sperman outfit.

And here is... the Sperman behind the scene.

After the runway show and price-giving ceremony, we all stayed for the group photo taking.

At the debrief session after the party, Guozheng was our goddness of enlightenment. Seeing that all of us felt so emotional for the success of the HIVE party, he became a clown and made us laughed non-stopped. He was real hilarious can! Thanks for that! I really had a great laugh!

To the HIVE commitee, great job to all of you and love always!

This is the video shown on the HIVE PARTY. It shows how we managed to tranform a plain white studio to a brand new agency which is a clubhouse, classroom, studio, gallery and a place to chill. Very professional and well done!

La La La

A very packed week indeed with many things lined up before the opening of the school term. We were doing this silk screening thingie on our T shirts. They say my T shirt ain't yellow, it's actually orange. Really not yellow meh? But nevermind, this colour is so different from the rest and it sure gonna outshine me in the crowd. Hahaha!
Marvin, who is a fan of TOPMAN now, was showing off to us messages of a Japanese model who asked for his number while he was working. And he said the Japanese model is taller than me!

Moving on to drama, we were taking some publicity shots for publicity purposes. Now I really admire those models and celebrities because taking photos can be tiring and tiring and tiring.

We had many shopping days actually and everytime we go shopping, we will see the free try of the Osim Upapa. A very interesting health product that is, you all should go try it some time. That's our drama group's mother in a nice green top made by her mum, lovely!

And we love the new foodcourt at Bugis Junction. It has a huge varieties of food and the ambiance is pretty cool. However it is very packed but definitely worth the wait.

We also managed to buy a vest for JX who ain't there. Hopefully the XL size will fit him. Some brand recently just re-brand itself with new logo, colour and stuffs. A very huge contrast between the new one and the previous one. Like it or not, you be the judge.
I'm really worried about certain things now. The 10/10 is a killer because it is going to be on the first week of school but our group ain't having any meetings yet. Vivi and gang please do meet the coming week. The GEMS has been giving me sleepless nights and my faith and happiness really lies in the hands of Sophia, who kindly volunteer to help me register. I am going to miss the combined class chalet and I am quite disappointed about it. There are just so many many things in my mind right now.
Oh I should really bring me heart with me, away from all these troubles. Yes baby, let me do it!

Busy Days Ahead
Hello everyone! I am back, I had re-shuffled my feelings after the death of my grandma. Life have still got to move on. She won't want us to get so sad either. And I am glad I survived through the whole thing. I didn't do anything evil or bad to those black hearted people at the funeral because I believe in karma and I won't do anything like them that are morally unright. Basically I just hope that it will go well smoothly with everyone corporating.

And I am really touched and thankful for my mum's side relative all this while, especally the last few days where they all stayed with us throughout, making sure we are fine. Many of them even ask me to give them a call if anything happens. I love them all! Thanks aunties, uncles and cousins!

Did you all feel the earthquake that day? I thought it was so very obvious. I felt so uncomfortable and I kept looking at my curtains to make sure I am not imagining things. I even asked my maid in to my room. She didn't believe initially but she felt it too after that. Many of the people like Daryl whom I saw on MSN also felt it! I was pretty calm but I kept looking out of the window to see if anyone was coming out of the apartments but no one was there. Anyway, I hope you guys didn't freak out!

Was back to school on Thursday to attend the drama meeting. Oh by the way, if you hadn't know, my GEMS drama production, "Apartment of the Feign", was told to be the best and will be playing at the new Amphitheatre at Moberly in October!

We had our rehearsal at the Amphitheatre. It was really very hot and the stage was so big. We aren't really used to it but we are coping on with it quite well. There are so many things more to be done- the publicity thingie, the website, the profile page, the costumes, the props and the sets that are going to be used.

We sat in Wendy and Simone's cars in the afternoon to go to Bali Lane, the one beside Haji Lane, to find some costumes. However, those costumes are more for Halloween and we only managed to get a few of them. That's me helping Cornelyus with the jumper.

After that, Wendy drove us to Salvation Army store at Potong Pasir (one of my favourite estate!). There are really many furniture there which are cheap and can be used as our set. Besides furniture, there are many other things from clothes to toys there. And look what I found there (picture). Most of the cast got their costumes for a real deal there. However I didn't get any because I don't feel so good wearing second hand clothes which are from people you don't know.

Look what you bought over there! Kudos to her for having to bring this all the way to her home. It's for her erm I dunno who whom she had to take care of but not her baby la. Such a lovely act!

We went to watch movie and more shopping for costumes after that. We too had our dinner over at Yun's working place. She was really giving us top service! Thanks thanks for your professionalism.

It's been quite some time since I last enjoyed myself so much. I really love and cherish all the people around me. And I love you all!

To get more of my drama updates and follow-ups, please follow closely to our blog and profiles.

The profile page is not really ready yet. Only mine and Janice's links are working.

The movie we watched was THE INVASION. For those of you who have my MSN, bet you know about my eagerness to watch this movie! I never miss a single Nicole Kidman movie. THE INVASION was awesome awesome awesome. Nicole Kidman is so gorgeous man! It is a must-watch movie after 881!

Moving Ahead

Everything is fine these few days, and I hope it will still continue to be the same way through the last few days. These two days, I will take the bus with my brother to my aunty house before going to the funeral together with them at night. Can you see me and my brother in the picture? The bus ride was super long. Its from Bukit Timah to Hougang.

I think the relatives at my mum's side are really very good and supportive, especially my number 3 aunty. YES! Just call her number 3 aunty. She is the best! She know about my worries and will ask me to go her house first before bringing me there at night. Over at her place, she will prepare dinner for us.

I like the weekly gathering at my number 3 aunty place. Because there are many children there for me to play with. Wahaha! Ivan is starting to learn how to talk.

Genevive may be a little naughty but she is so smart and funny. Her favourite past time is watching television. She loves HDB Tai Tai and the current 9 o'clock show where she learn the phrase "我请你吃我的拳头" from.

Over at my grandma place, I will help out with what I can and make sure those cats stay away from the area.

Looking ahead, it is a busy week for me again. Besides the funeral, I need to rehearse on my 10/10 drama and the drama production and of course, the BIG HIVE project. Think Zzzz monster has attacked me, gonna have my beauty sleep already, seeya!

Yet another week of Holiday
Hiyee sorry for the late updates. You know I am really so busy these days and I figured out that there's no even a single day I am free this week. I miss the times with my family, I miss my mummy's cooking but I enjoy everyday of the holiday.

We are working on this really big project that will shock the whole school on 26 September 2007 and I am really looking forward to it. Therefore, everyone please keep a look out.

I always love those kopitiam Kopi and Tei but recently, I am surprisingly in love with the english coffee from IKEA. It is really awesome, just like that of Jack's Place, but the main point is that it is refillable.

And then, we are given the privilege to be at the pitching session for the 4 advertising companies to pitch their idea on the upcoming advertising campaign for SP. It was really an eye opening experience and I can already imagining me doing that in a few years time.

Oh ya I even get to meet my 4E2 classmates from Bukit View on Zhi Hui's birthday. I think this is the first time I met so many ex-classmates because I didn't go for the previous few chalets. I didn't expect Hanhong and Dennis to be there but it's really great to see them. Indra was telling me about me having food poisoning on the first day of school. Haha, I almost forgot you know. And I always take a chair to sit while cutting vegetables during Food and Nutrition class. And when Mrs Nigam saw it, she would take away my chair and keep it. Oh my, I missed her!

Last but not least, my drama mates. They help me escape from my reality. They are my safe haven. We are currently working on the production that will happen on SHOWTIME in October. With a huge production budget to work with, I am sure it's going to be of high standard.

Our director Sean Kong who claimed he doesn't like taking photos, (although he has so many funky and cheeky MSN display pics).

I rushed down to Orchard to meet them today evening. And Bukit Timah to meet Ryan, Michelle and Joey for supper. I think I am fortunate to have all you these people around. There's really no Ends of the Earth for me. Big thank you!

太委屈
Grievance

Please skip this post if you don't want to get emo or uneasy. I thought this is the only place which I can share how I feel about the whole incident. My grandma left us yesterday night. I was in the ICU shouting for her name and feeling her fingers when she took her last few breath. She was unconscious anyway.

I am sad of course but I accepted the fact that she left us. She is old already and is so sick. Everytime I saw her, she was in pain and it really made me question myself if I would rather die than suffer on if I am her. However, the 委屈 thing about the whole thing is having to face those relatives. I feel so uneasy and discriminated when I was at the funeral. I am okie if people stare at me, but I am worried for my mother. I hope everyone will corporate and "behave" themselves and let my grandma pass peacefully.

I think I kind of like make the whole incident sound like we are the murderers or something. We are not la. Okie in conculsion, it's all about family politics, that's all. You know, I really don't mind if our names are not in the newspaper or something. It really doesn't matter to me at all. I just hope my grandma will have a peaceful funeral with everyone corporating.

It just remind me of this song which Linda and I love to sing in KTV.

Getai
All thanks to Royston Tan, the Ge Tai industry in Singapore is doing extremely well this year. Royston Tan is a phenomenon in Singapore. I think his previous works are as good as well. One of the key factors I believe why 881 hit the 1 million mark is because of the media coverage. His previous films didn't have anything to do with Mediacorp Raintree Pictures, did it?

Anyway I just came back from my dad's company zhong yuan celebration. It was a huge success. The prices for those auction items go up real high. And it's been a few years since they have Ge Tai but this year one was really very well received. I saw some of those famous ones and even those from 881!

I am happy to see Singaporeans so into Ge Tai. Just like chinese language and dialects, I believe Ge Tai is a unique culture that our uniquely country has and we should really carry them on. Yougsters these days should really not let these traditions or cultures to disappear or become history.

Cannot stop the culture! Support Ge Tai! Here's the local famous 明珠姐妹 with the 野花唔通找. This song is so hot hot hot! For your infor, I know how to sing this song liao. Heheehee! Everybody come on! 吹呀吹呀吹。。。

And so I went to school yesterday for our drama production meeting. Apparently, we are going to be the virgins to perform at the new amphitheatre in school. We are all so excited about it man! Because we got budget to work on, I promise it is going to turn out well. Supporters, please be patient!

You know, because I am so scare I get too bored this holiday, I signed up to be involved in so many things. And now I kind of regretted it although I enjoyed doing them. It is because I am really so busy until I have no time for so many other things. I really look forward to my bangkok trip now because that is the time where I get to really put everything aside and enjoy myself. For those of my friends whom I say I wanna meet this holiday, I apologise for my tight schedule but no matter what, I am definitely going to meet you guys.

Oh my! I got the urge to go get 881's movie soundtrack.
